"The GLC’s mission is to develop confident, aspirational, resilient, high-achieving, healthy, caring and fulfilled members of a diverse, truly fair, and equal community.  "

Our Story

The Gateway Learning Community [GLC] was the first multi-academy Trust in Thurrock and has grown into a partnership between the Gateway Academy, Herringham Primary Academy, Lansdowne Primary Academy, Tilbury Pioneer Academy and the Gateway Primary Free School.

All of these schools are located within the Tilbury and Chadwell areas, which means that we are ideally situated to work collaboratively to create a seamless learning experience for all young people from Nursery to Year 11.

We want to attract the brightest primary and secondary teaching and leadership talent to join our dynamic, passionate and determined GLC team.

Working at our GLC schools is extremely rewarding and can be life-changing both for the staff and students within our care.

Browse the videos and listen to some of our staff describing their career and why working in our Academies with out students and staff is so rewarding.......

‘Leaders are meticulous in reviewing all aspects of teaching and learning.  They are quick to identify strengths, and address concerns if they arise.  In addition to regular monitoring and meetings, leaders ensure that teachers share their practice to strengthen its consistency and quality in all classes.’
